A well-known name for more than 250 years
Sealskin in Waalwijk is a company of rich traditions, which celebrated its 250-year anniversary in 2004. It was in 1754 that the founder of the current organization, Gerrit van Loon, started his company in Waalwijk. At the time started as a leather trade and supplier of products to the (inter) national shoe industry, the company expanded its activities and assortment over the centuries. The leather disappeared and made way for plastic, textile, aluminum, glass and other materials. The shoe industry was exchanged for the sanitary industry.
This is how slowly but surely the company of today was created: Sealskin, producer and supplier of sanitary products and bathroom decoration. Sealskin has been part of the Coram Group since 1986. Sealskin is a member of the Business Social Compliance Initiative. The Business Social Compliance Initiative (BSCI) is an initiative of companies committed to improving working conditions in their global supply chain.
